CentraCare Trauma Centers
You'll be in good hands no matter which CentraCare hospital you visit in an emergency. CentraCare - Rice Memorial Hospital is a Level III Trauma Center, which means you can stay near your community in Willmar for treatment of moderate injuries.
Our hospitals in Long Prairie, Melrose, Monticello, Paynesville and Sauk Centre are Level IV Trauma Centers. That means they can provide life support, stabilize your condition and transfer you to a higher-level trauma center, if needed.
Recovery & Rehabilitation
You’ll start rehabilitation after your initial recovery from an orthopedic, brain or other traumatic injury. Depending on your condition, you may benefit from:
- Physical therapy – Improves your strength and flexibility while gradually reducing pain
- Occupational therapy – Teaches you how to do daily tasks more easily
- Speech therapy – Increases skills related to language, memory, attention and problem-solving
Your rehabilitation team will help you regain as much of your abilities as possible, so you can live more independently.
