Stereotactic Radiation: Ultra-Precise Care
Stereotactic radiation therapy uses imaging and a computer to precisely target small tumors, sparing nearby healthy tissue. This technology:
- Makes treatment safer and more effective
- Requires just a few therapy sessions, unlike standard radiation treatment
You can receive stereotactic radiotherapy for tumors in your body in St. Cloud, Willmar, Monticello and Alexandria. In St. Cloud, stereotactic radiosurgery is also available for brain tumors.
Internal Radiation Therapy (Brachytherapy)
Brachytherapy places tiny, radioactive pellets in or near your tumor. These pellets may stay in your body permanently, or a doctor might remove them after treatment. Ask your care team what steps you should take to protect people around you from radiation during brachytherapy.
Pluvicto for Prostate Cancer
You may have a new treatment option for prostate cancer that metastasized (spread beyond the prostate). Pluvicto is a radioactive drug you receive by infusion — intravenously (IV), or through a vein. This targeted therapy finds and attacks cancer cells while limiting damage to healthy cells. It can shrink your tumor and help you live longer.
