Healing Touch & Reiki
Reiki and healing touch use very light pressure or no pressure to restore your sense of calm and well-being. If you’re receiving cancer treatment from CentraCare, you may feel better after this free therapy at Coborn Healing Center in St. Cloud or Monticello Cancer Center.
What to Expect
During a reiki or healing touch session, a volunteer gently moves their hands over your body. You remain clothed, and there’s no soft-tissue mobilization, unlike massage therapy. The volunteer may lightly touch your body or keep their hands a short distance above you.
Reiki and healing touch are safe for people of all ages. These therapies don’t treat cancer, but evidence suggests they can relax you and reduce pain.
