Music Therapy

Whether you like to make melodies or just listen, music therapy offers a bright spot in your cancer journey at CentraCare. Evidence shows this fun, soothing activity can lift your mood and take your mind off pain and stress.

What to Expect

Choose from group or private sessions — no music experience needed. A certified music therapist may:

  • Play the music of your choice on a guitar or another instrument
  • Invite you to play or sing along
  • Lead songwriting activities to help you express your emotions during cancer care
  • Facilitate lyric discussions to help you process your experiences
