What’s changing?

Some benefit plans will see changes in 2025:

  • One HSA Plan
    • The lower and higher HSA deductible plans will combine into one HSA plan offering
    • Annual IRS updates (minimum deductibles and out-of-pocket maximums) have resulted in these two plans being similar in value and design
  • New Copay (PPO) Health Plan option with more flexibility in choosing health care providers
    • CentraCare’s Copay plan works with the HealthPartners/Cigna Open Access Network, meaning there is no provider tiering allowing expanded coverage for those who may live outside of CentraCare’s service area
    • The plan has set copay amounts for office and specialty visits and prescription drug coverage
  • HRA Plan
    • The plan will have a combined annual medical and prescription out of pocket maximum for 2025
  • New voluntary benefits to help protect against some of life’s unexpected expenses. Coverage is available also available to dependents, but employee coverage is required for dependents to participate.
    • Hospital Indemnity Insurance – can help alleviate financial burdens caused due to hospitalization, providing peace of mind that there is a safety net in place, reducing financial stress for employees and their families during a health crisis.
    • Critical Illness Insurance – adds a layer of financial protection, providing a lump-sum payment if diagnosed with a new and covered serious illness (on or after the policy start date), helping to cover medical expenses, lost income, or other financial costs, allowing you and your family to focus on recovery.
    • Accident Insurance – provides coverage for unexpected medical expenses resulting from accidents, which can help alleviate the financial burden of hospital bills, rehabilitation, or emergency care.
  • Health Insurance Rates - We recognize that the past few years have brought challenges to the health care industry and our economy. Despite annual claims indicating higher increases were needed, CentraCare has worked diligently to keep your costs as low as possible while still providing you with a wide range of comprehensive benefit plan options. We’re committed to supporting you and ensuring you have the best choices for your health and well-being.

Who’s eligible?

Employees who are hired for 32 or more hours a pay period are eligible.

What benefits can I enroll in during Open Enrollment?

  • Medical Plan – add or remove dependents from a benefit plan without a life event
  • Health Savings Account (HSA) – Employee Contribution
  • Dental Plan
  • Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) – Medical and Dependent Care
  • Supplemental Life Insurance
  • NEW – Critical Illness; Accident and Hospital Indemnity Insurances
  • Legal Plan

What do I need to do?

  • If you want to make changes, switch plans, add/remove a dependent: You will need to elect 2025 benefits between Nov. 11 and Nov.26 in Oracle. Mid-year changes, additions or cancellations are not allowed without an IRS-qualifying life event and providing documentation of that event. Now is your time to reevaluate and make changes to your benefits!
  • If you want to contribute to a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or make contributions into your Health Savings Account (HSA) in 2025: You need to enroll during Open Enrollment and select the amount of money you want to contribute to the HSA and/or FSA. Contributions do not carry over from year to year.
  • If you’re enrolled in benefits, don’t want to contribute to an FSA or HSA and don’t want to make any other changes: There is no need to reenroll. Your current plans, except for your HSA and FSA elections, will roll over into 2025. However, we still encourage you to log in to Oracle and verify your benefits are correct.

To Enroll in Benefits

Between Nov. 11 and Nov. 26, go to Oracle, then click on Me, Journeys, Open Enrollment 2025. (Please note that the Oracle function will not be live until open enrollment begins.)

Other Benefit Considerations Outside of Open Enrollment
