Our Health, Our Future
In early 2024, we kicked off the “Our Health, Our Future” philanthropic campaign for making rural life healthier. The five-year, $50 million campaign is aimed at supporting the needs of the new CentraCare Regional Campus, including scholarships for students, a medical education center, residency programs, a rural health research institute, housing and more.
In fall 2025, the CentraCare Regional Campus St. Cloud will welcome 24 aspiring doctors as part of the University of Minnesota Medical School’s first expansion in more than 50 years!

The Need Is Now
Only 11% of Minnesota physicians practice in rural communities and only 4% of incoming medical students come from rural areas. The median age of physicians in rural Minnesota is 59 and one-in-three intend to leave the profession within five years.
