Headache medicine quickly became my passion as I time and time again witnessed the burden and impact people with headache disorders are confronted with. It's a tricky thing for people to understand how this condition which doesn't present with visible symptoms can be so disabling.
The headache patient is not the only one who is affected. It trickles down to their job and coworkers, their spouses, children and relationships suffer and — as a result — often the patients self-worth and confidence becomes questioned. It takes a toll on every aspect of one's life.
My goal is for my patients to better understand their own role in management of chronic and complex neurologic issues, and to arm them with the knowledge required to make the best medical and neurologic choices to improve their quality of life.
I have particular expertise in performing injection techniques such as head and face nerve blocks, trigger point injections, spheno-palatine ganglion blocks, as well as neurotoxin injections such as Botox for therapeutic purposes. I also have neuro-modulation experience with use of single pulse TMS (Trans-cranial Magnetic Stimulation) device and trans-cranial electrical stimulation.
