    What I Do

I aim to provide the best care for athletes that addresses why the injury happened and to also allow the athlete to return to their sport safely. I believe that addressing why injuries occur and not just “putting a band-aid" on an injury allows the athlete to be healthy and to help prevent further or new injuries.

I find injury prevention very fascinating and helpful for the young athletic population. If we understand how to prevent injuries while athletes are young, they tend to be healthier and safer as they progress in skill and ability in their respective sport. I also enjoy learning about concussions and treating them. The brain is a fascinating organ and so many athletes can be affected by head injuries. To be able to know the most current research and treatment for head injuries allows me to keep athletes in sports and to keep their quality of life on track.

    Why I Love My Work

What I enjoy most about my job is seeing athletes return to their sport after an injury. I love watching them work hard through rehab and get to understand the importance of healing their bodies so they can perform at their best.

I got interested in athletic training in high school. I learned a lot from my high school athletic trainer and found that I like learning about treatments for the athletic population.

    Getting to Know Me

Outside of work, I like to go outside with my husband and visit state parks. We have visited about 15 Minnesota state parks. We like to stay close to home and spend time with our families. I like to watch any sporting event and read.
