Kim Egan Selected as CentraCare’s Chief Human Resources Officer

CentraCare is pleased to announce Kim Egan has been selected as the new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). Egan will begin in this role May 31 and will report to Ken Holmen, MD, President and CEO of CentraCare.

Egan comes to CentraCare with more than 20 years of extensive health care experience at organizations including HealthPartners, Fairview Red Wing Health Services and Mayo Clinic.

Egan is currently the Vice President of Human Resources at HealthPartners for Regions Hospital and the St. Croix Valley Hospitals and Clinics. In her role, she has helped align human resources across five hospitals, developed innovative recruitment and retention strategies, improved employee engagement and enhanced leadership diversity.

“Kim has a proven track record of implementing change to exceed organization goals while fostering operational excellence across multiple healthcare facilities,” said President and CEO Ken Holmen, MD. “Her transformative HR leadership will undoubtedly propel our organization forward as we continue to prioritize our most valuable asset, our people."

In her role at CentraCare, Egan will oversee CentraCare’s people strategy, ensuring strategically and operationally progressive approaches are identified that further advance a variety of workforce goals. These include workforce planning and development, recruitment and retention, employee engagement, Total Rewards, and employee and labor relations. Egan received her bachelor’s degree in communications from Minnesota State University, Mankato and her MBA from Concordia University in St. Paul.
