This credential is the highest national honor for professional nursing practice and is a testament to St. Cloud Hospital's continued dedication to high-quality nursing patient care.

"I am incredibly proud and grateful for our nurses and interdisciplinary team members who provide exemplary care to our patients as demonstrated by this recognition," Chief Nursing Officer Melissa Fradette said.

St. Cloud Hospital is now one of only 43 organizations in the world that has achieved a fifth redesignation — that equals less than 1 percent of the more than 6,000 hospitals in the United States. Only 604 hospitals worldwide are Magnet designated.

"It's been incredible to see St. Cloud Hospital and our teams continue to challenge themselves, enhance processes and improve care with an unwavering dedication to our patients," said St. Cloud Hospital President and Chief Operating Officer Joy Plamann. "Each and every day I am proud to come to work and lead such innovative and remarkable teams. It's been the honor of a lifetime."

There are currently three other Minnesota hospitals with Magnet designation: Abbott Northwestern Hospital, Children's Minnesota and Mayo Clinic Rochester.
